PPO dental coverage allows the largest choice of dentists to access and utilize. PPO networks allow for greater flexibility and greater choice – generally the best option if you have a dentist you prefer to use or if you need a higher level of care for your teeth.
HMO coverage will require that you have a specific dentist that is your general dentist, and that dentist will guide and direct all of your dental care. HMO dental does allow for choice of whom that primary dentist is and will generally be less expensive monthly than a PPO.
Vision coverage is designed to cover the office visits, examination and annual acquiring of corrective lenses for people with vision issues. Corrective lenses can come in the form of glasses or contact lenses. Vision concerns outside of a standard exam and corrective lenses typically will be covered under your major medical policy.
